Thanks for getting in touch about our project, The Palms at Corozal, and I’m pleased to send you the information you requested.
You can also find a lot of information on our website – MoringaTribe.com, but if you have ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, Please Call 855-841-9659 and we would love to set an appointment up and schedule a time that is best for you to answer all of your questions or concerns.
where you will also be able to find photos of several individual lots, which will give you an idea of what they look like. We are also currently offering a sale, with lots available from just $9.900 – see it as a “closeout” sale! Any lot marked as $12.500 can be bought for $9.900 for a limited time.
I will be sending you an additional email, containing our PDF which gives you a great overview of the project, and it also has the new and improved site plan, as well as the latest availability at the project. I am also going to send you the plans for the wood cabins (mennonite) homes that are currently being built on-site, and if you want to build a concrete home instead then please let me know and I can get those plans for you also.
The beach at the end of the road is public – as is common in Belize it is rocks instead of sand and the winds can be quite strong, but it is nevertheless one of the very few beaches you can go to in Corozal – the distance from the town means that you are pretty much guaranteed to have all the space you want to yourself
When it comes to building – the houses you can see on the Viviun ad that you looked at are fairly typical for what many new residents are building locally, and the cost is roughly $65 per square foot. Many buyers seem to prefer the mennonite (wood) cabins I mentioned, and they are priced at roughly half the price of a concrete home, and are VERY popular in Corozal.
We are located right on Serenity Road which has power running along it, so you can either buy a lot close to the road and hook up to the power supply at a nominal cost, or you can use solar power which is a very popular (and cost efficient) way of doing it in Belize. Water is done by private well or rain catchment, which you will find is the norm in Belize, as city water isn’t very wide spread in the country yet.
We do have a few lots left on the lake (marked in blue on the sheet) and we just finished installing a windmill – a first (we think!) in Belize, to make sure the water levels can be controlled throughout the year.
Our attorneys in Belize are very familiar in dealing with non-Belizean investors, and can certainly assist in helping you purchase through any entity of your choice, including a self directed IRA, and they can also answer any questions you might have when it comes to ownership, title insurance etc. We can also assist you in relocating down to Belize using the “QRP” program – the only retirement visa program available in the Caribbean.
Belize is one of the hottest markets in the world right now, attracting a lot of investment both from North America and further afield, many of our buyers so far actually have been smaller developers from Canada, as well as the U.S.
Many of the buyers choose to invest in Belize because of the affordability, and The Palms really have taken a lead here, with lots from $9.900, and LAKE FRONT lots from only $25.000 – these prices are guaranteed not to be found elsewhere!
As a comparable, one of the last ‘developer lots’ at nearby Mayan Seaside just sold for 26k, and lots at neighbouring Royal Colony start from 29.9k, and those prices are for lots of a similar size or smaller than at The Palms, and are not located on any lakes.
The community is developed with all the lots having road access, there are community ‘green spaces’, a large pond, and there is already electric to the property.
Building is residential, with a preference for homes of 1.000 sq.ft or larger and maximum of two stories, though we will

Those who will soon reach the retirement age, or have already started availing the benefits of a retiree, can better understand why saving is so important. Some may feel they should have started much earlier to end up with more dollar bills in their account. As you approach the retirement age, you want to save your accumulated wealth over decades and want it to last longer.
Many single persons and couples want to settle down after retirement to a serene place where there is less traffic, life is relaxed and there is no race with time. For retirees, Belize, nestled in Central America, is the best place to relocate. Relocating to Belize is a great way to relax and save on your savings. Check out why Belize is the perfect destination for retirees:
1. Awe-inspiring Natural Beauty
Belize has beautiful blue beaches that spread as wide as your eye can see. The tropical beaches are clear with fresh water and surrounded by exotic islands. The lush green trees and the abundant greenery in Belize are breathtaking. The air is fresh, unpolluted and the sun-drenched beaches are just what ageing bones need.
2. Low Government Taxes
One of the best things about Belize is that government taxes are low, which makes many things such as investing the country easy. There is negligible capital gains tax and other property tax. The ownership title of a business or a home is easy to acquire. These tax cuts are extremely beneficial for foreign investors. Property taxes are low, hardly ever over $100- $200 a year even for an extravagant home.
3. Stable Dollar
The dollar bill rate in Belize is pretty stable that is beneficial for potential and current investors. In addition to that, residents of Belize can plan and spend accordingly, and eventually can stick to the expenditure and saving plan. This helps people to stay organized and increase their savings over the long run.
4. Low Cost of Living
The cost of living in Belize is lower than in America, Canada or other such countries. The average cost of living in Belize is $500 – $1000, depending on; your residential area, where you shop, what you buy. And a big chunk of it depends on what you eat. International food chains and products are a tad bit expensive, but if you’re living on local food, you can save up to a good $400 a month.
5. Relaxed Environment
Belize runs on Belize Time; life is slow and nobody is in a rush. Shops and businesses open late and close early. That’s a typical characteristic of a Belizean lifestyle. Most people use bicycles for commute while others go by foot. The casual lifestyle of Belize is what has a relaxing effect on the people.
For these reasons, and many more; Belize is the perfect place for retirees to relax and save for future. Property in Belize costs much cheaper than it costs in America, Canada or Britain. Therefore, if you want to settle in serene and tranquil location after retirement, then Belize is the right place for you. Enjoy the beaches, the nature, and a sweet merry life with your loved ones.
Top Reasons To Retire In Belize
As an Expat Relocation Consultant and Property Manager in Belize, one of the first questions I ask my clients or prospective tenants is, “Why do you want to retire in Belize?”
It’s important for me to know, because I want to make sure they have practical and valid reasons. It helps me answer their questions better. And if for any reason they have a mistaken notion about Belize, I can easily correct them before they move here and it’s too late!
Over the years of working with clients, here are their top reasons for retiring in Belize:You’ve had a dream
Many people have worked their entire lives with the idea that one day, they will escape the rat race and move to paradise. They can’t wait to waive goodbye to the materialistic and news-centric culture they are from and embrace a laid back and simple lifestyle. Belize is one of the most casual and slow-paced countries in Central America. So much so, that you may not know what to do with yourself for the first few weeks. But that feeling won’t last long.Warm weather year round
Let’s face it – the older we get the colder we get. Why do you think so many retirees live in Florida? But Belize has become the new Florida, and it’s not hard to see why. With an average year round high of 84 degrees, you can leave your jeans and coats behind. Instead, your new uniform will be tank tops, shorts and flip flops!
With the cost of living growing every year in North America, many retirees are starting to wonder how long they can hope to subsist on their pensions or savings. Finding a more economical region to live in, for some, is their only option. In Belize, my cost of living decreased by 85% compared to what I was spending in California. An average couple can live quite nicely on $2000-2500 USD, even on an island such as Ambergris Caye, as long as they don’t adopt an extravagant lifestyle and cling to their North American ways.
English speaking country
By far, this is the number one reason why people choose retirement in Belize. And it makes sense too. Relocating is stressful enough without throwing into the mix having to learn another language. This one factor can make your assimilation in Belize a much easier process.
Within reach of the Canada and the U.S. for trips back home or for visits by family and friends
Belize is a mere two-hour flight to Houston, TX. Canada is just a few hours further. Interestingly enough, most expatriates find this an important fact to help appease their family, not necessarily themselves. When you tell your family and friends you’re moving to a foreign country, you may not always get a favorable reaction. Letting them know you’re not going to be that far away can help immensely.
Live close to the beach and mountains
Belize’s exotic and tropical ambience will soon enough present you with so many activities, you won’t know where to start. This diverse country has rivers, rainforests, ruins, beaches, the second largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, over 500 species of birds, a zoo, and much, much more. Being in touch with nature is good for the soul, and there’s plenty of that to nourish yourself with here in Belize.
Belize is an easy, inexpensive, centrally located Caribbean haven with wonderful weather and warm, friendly people. . If Belize isn’t on your list of places to retire, now that you’ve learned more about it, why not?
